The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is offering low-interest federal disaster loans to Iowa businesses and residents affected by the severe storms, tornadoes, straight-line winds and flooding that occurred June 6 - July 2, 2018. SBA acted under its own authority to declare a disaster following the denial of the state's appeal for a major disaster declaration on Dec. 5, 2018. The disaster declaration makes SBA assistance available in Boone, Dallas, Jasper, Madison, Marion, Polk, Story and Warren counties in Iowa.
