Dear Parishioners,
As we begin the Year of our Lord 2024, we have much to be grateful for. We also have our work cut out for us in the vineyard of the Lord.
I look forward to many good things to come this year.
- Our Religious Education program training our young ones in the faith and preparing them for Sacraments.
- Growing outreach to very young families through our Preschool and other creative ways.
- Setting goals with the Pastoral Council to focus our four priorities: Worship, Faith Formation, Evangelization, Community Building.
- Some more opportunities for outreach, stewardship and charity this year.
This month we will try something new. We’ll begin sharing staff with St. Mary’s Church, Colts Neck. Edwin Sevillano will bring his 20+ years of parish experience as he begins to split his time as Pastoral Associate for Temporal Administration between the two parishes. He will oversee finances, stewardship, staffing, facilities, pastoral events, and planning. The Trustees and I think this sharing will be very helpful to both parishes. We’ll look for more areas to share resources during the year.
I look forward to beautiful liturgies, growing our Music program, and developing creative ways to continue our mission to spread the Gospel in the Holmdel/Middletown area of the Lord’s vineyard. May we all be open to His inspiration!
May Christ’s Peace be with us in 2024!
Fr. Pat
