On January 5, 2021, AHFA received notice of Plan approval by Governor Kay Ivey. The approved Plans are available on the AHFA website.

In accordance with Addendum E of the Plans, the 2022 COVID-19 Pandemic Relief Response Application (CPRR) is now available. The deadline for submitting CPRR applications is Friday, January 28, 2022, before 5 pm CST. Projects which received Housing Credit or Housing Credit with HOME awards from AHFA in 2018, 2019, or 2020 are eligible to apply for CPRR. AHFA will utilize all available funding sources to prioritize the completion and financial feasibility of these projects. All COVID-19 Pandemic Relief Request applications will be processed based on the priorities as described in Addendum E of the 2022 Plans. Individual project fund types and amounts will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

The aggregate amount of COVID-19 Pandemic Relief Response requests will likely materially reduce funds available for new applicants during the 2022 Competitive Application Cycle. Upon completion of the CPRR application cycle, AHFA will make a determination regarding the feasibility of a 2022 Competitive Application Cycle. If it is determined there are sufficient funds to warrant a 2022 Competitive Application Cycle, announcements will be sent via Multifamily Notices.
