SECOND SUNDAY

Second Sunday isn’t one service—it’s an open-house Sunday morning filled with food, fellowship, worship, and creative spiritual experiences for all ages. Come for a few minutes or stay all morning. Bring a friend. Bring your dog. Bring both!

January Highlights include:

Multiple Worship Options — Traditional service, Sacred Space, communion & prayer corners

Spiritual Exploration — Celebrating the Divine Feminine, Spiritual TikTalk, Deep Relaxation session, Exploring The Common Good by Robert Reich

Music & Creative Expression — Ready, Set, Sing!, Beginning Crochet, and a late-morning Drum Circle

Community & Care — Prayer Shawl Ministry, Affirming LGBTQIA+ gathering, Love Lessons workshop, Know Your Bystander Rights

AND we are celebrating the start of 2026 with a limited time signature burrito:

Chef Nikki’s Birthday Brisket Burrito

Celebrate the new year and Nikki’s birthday with a limited time signature burrito made from scratch and served with love. Slow smoked beef brisket, crunchy cubed breakfast potatoes, caramelized onions, fluffy scrambled eggs, melted cheese, wrapped in a warm tortilla and served with love.

Of course we'll still have all your other 2nd Sunday favorites, the Morning Glory (cheese and egg), the vegan Blessed Burrito (veggies/rice/black beans) and the Praise and Bacon (bacon/egg/cheese) along with mixed fruit, assorted pastries, coffee, tea, soda, and juice.

SPIRITUAL TIK TALK

Got S.A.S.? (That’s Short Attention Span.) If you enjoy quick videos, thoughtful conversation, and exploring spiritual questions without pressure or judgment, Spiritual TikTalk might be just your speed. This new Second Sunday option at Dayspring is designed for people whose attention isn’t broken—it’s just tired. We gather with coffee and/or breakfast, watch a handful of short (under five-minute) spirituality-focused videos, and talk about what they stir in us.

The videos vary widely and might include reflections on life and death, conversations about faith and doubt, insights into art or music, or moments of poetry, creativity, and we'll even include time for brief meditation. Together, we intend to form a small, welcoming community that taps into the wider world of spiritual voices and makes space for honest, curious conversation.

Spiritual TikTalk meets every Second Sunday from 10:00–10:45 a.m. in the Palo Verde Room. Come curious—and come as you are.

KNOW YOUR BYSTANDER RIGHTS

Organized Solidarity: Know Your Bystander Rights is an informative session on immigration legal rights and how to respond when an immigration incident happens in front of you. Learn practical, compassionate ways to support people involved in an immigration stop, including what to do in the moment and how to be proactive before situations arise. Join us on January 11 at 11:15 a.m. in the Choir Room to gain tools, confidence, and clarity for showing up in solidarity.

THE COMMON GOOD

EXPLORING Contemporary Issues begins a four-week study of The Common Good by Robert Reich. This national bestseller challenges us to reflect on shared values, mutual respect, and cooperation as essential responses to today’s political and economic realities. Even if you miss this week, feel free to join the conversation next Sunday.

NURSERY CARE HOURS EXTENDED

We’re excited to share that our nursery is available for longer hours each Sunday! Childcare is now available starting at 8:30 a.m. for Sacred Space or other opportunities moving forward. We’re happy to offer this support for families each week!

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY

Join us for our first build day of 2026 on Saturday, January 17, as we jump into framing—one of the most exciting stages of a build! No experience needed. Email Mark to register and be part of building hope, one wall at a time.
