This Saturday, January 11 - We are kicking off 2020 with our annual breakfast at 8am. RSVP here. Looking for least one Scout Leader from each pack, troop, crew, and ship in the Long Beach Area Council. No cost and free parking. Come see what's new for 2020.
Saturday, January 25 - Help us recognize unit leaders, Scout leaders who make a difference, and parents who go above and beyond to help your unit thrive. District Dinner info here. Note: the Polaris and Los Fierros districts will hold a joint dinner this year, same night.
Saturday, January 18 - Next weekend, come on by the Scout Shop parking lot to build your pinewood derby car! Just bring your wooden kit or buy one at the Scout Shop that day. We will provide the tools.
Just announced! A big congratulations to the three volunteers who were just named as recipients of the 2019 District Award of Merit. See list here. This is the highest recognition a district can give a volunteer.
As we do every year, we will be asking all parents and Scout leaders to make a charitable contribution to support our local Scouting program for 2020. Many people believe their membership dues support the LBAC but they don't. We rely on member support.
There is a new medical form for all Scouts to use on outings, camping, and activities.
See form here. There is also an FAQ page to help answer any questions you might have related to the update medical form 2020.
