Divergent Sounds: Soleo Meets the Symphony

JAN 30 Soleo came together after vocalist/guitarist Amir Gholizadeh created and shared his own bizarre guitar-tuning style with his now-bandmates Tynan Evans (bass) and Nick Golias (drums). That, and a concept about Gholizadeh’s family history, became the inspiration for their unconventional sound, oftentimes labeled as “Middle Eastern progressive rock.”

SPECIAL VIP OFFERS

SYMPHONY SPECIAL OFFER

OFFER: 20% off MasterWorks IV: All Things Majestic

JAN 25 Ever aware of the shadow of Beethoven looming over any German composer who dared to write a symphony in the 19th century, Johannes Brahms took nearly fifteen years to write his first, and it has been nearly that long since it was last heard on the Umstattd Hall stage. This beautiful and emotion-filled work helped to usher in the romantic period of symphonic writing, which produced some of the most beloved pieces in the orchestral canon.
