New fiction for the new year! Today we share Karma Brown's captivating novel about a modern-day woman who discovers remarkable parallels between her life and the life of the woman who owned her home, RECIPE FOR A PERFECT WIFE.
Later this month: Rochelle Weinstein's tender, moving story of heartbreak and healing, THIS IS NOT HOW IT ENDS; Megan Angelo's FOLLOWERS, the story of two ambitious friends, the dark choices they make, and the moment that changes the meaning of privacy forever; and Teresa Sorkin and Tullan Holmqvist's debut thriller reminiscent of classic noir, THE WOMAN IN THE PARK.

Before We Were Yours
Lisa Wingate shares a recipe —and
the inspiration for— her novel
|
|
|
It was a pleasure to work with author Lisa Wingate for
January's
Costco Connection
book club feature about her bestselling historical fiction, BEFORE WE WERE YOURS, in which a dark secret connects the Mississippi River to a wealthy family's long hidden history. Wingate describes her research into the culture of the shantyboat people, who lived on small boats and traveled the Mississippi during the Great Depression, and shares a family recipe she imagines her characters would have enjoyed.
