Learn At The Zoo

Coming this February are two great learning opportunities at the Zoo!

Join us on February 7 from 2-3 pm for a special Valentine’s Day Crafting With The Creatures. Learn about one of our awesome ambassador animals while they paint a Valentine’s Day card. Then put your own finishing touches on your fun and unique artwork. It’s a great time for families to enjoy learning and crafting together. It’s $25 per adult (15-61), $20 per senior (62+), $15 per child (3-14), and babies 0-2 are free.

Just for adults, on February 8 from 2-4 pm, we’ll have a fascinating class all about animal mating systems. How do porcupines find a mate? How common is monogamy? Why are peacocks so fancy? You’ll be surprised by how much you’ll learn! It’s $25 per person for adults 18 and up.

Dirty Trivia

On February 25, join us in The Lodge for a fun zoo trivia night.

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, February’s trivia will be “dirty” with categories about animal partners and mating.

Trivia is from 6-8 pm, and teams can be up to 8 people. It’s $15 per person, and all proceeds support the Potawatomi Zoo’s Conservation Fund.

You're Heroes For Animals

Thank you to everyone who has given to the Potawatomi Zoo's Annual Fund! You helped us wildly exceed our goal of $75,000! Because of your generosity, we were able to raise about $140,000 in about a 6-week period, a record for us! These dollars go directly into our annual operating funds, which only grow as we expand, enhance, and improve our facilities. The annual operating funds pay for animal food, medication, habitat improvements, staff salaries, and so much more.

From the bottom of our hearts, we (and our 400+ animals), thank you!
