Winter Days Schedule Change

Unfortunately, we just have too much ice and snow on the ground to clear in time for Winter Days this weekend, so we're rescheduling it! The next Winter Days will be January 27 and 28, from 12 to 3 pm. After that, we'll proceed with the schedule as normal (hopefully!).

Winter Days are a great time to see the Zoo animals in a completely different way, both inside and outside. We also have regular Zoo amenities like the train and concessions available (weather permitting)

Winter Days are FREE for Zoo Members and discounted for everyone else ($7.50 for adults; $6.50 for children and seniors). Babies 2 and under are free as always.

Lots of Love at the Zoo

There’s a lot of wild love going on in the animal kingdom, and if you’re curious to learn more, we have a special class just for adults!

This February, adults 21 and up can learn all about courtship and pair bonding between animals. Classes include games, discussion, activities, and animal encounters. There will also be a cocktail or juice provided to make your learning experience a little more fun.

Love and Courtship In The Wild is February 11, from 2-4 pm. It’s $25 per person and Zoo Members can receive a 10% discount.

Crafting With the Creatures

We have an extra special family experience for this Valentine’s Day! Paint with our Ambassador Animals at Crafting With The Creatures on February 4 from 3-4 pm. You’ll get to meet and learn about one of our Ambassador Animals and then watch them engage in painting enrichment. When they’re done, it’ll be your turn to make their painting into a true Valentine’s Day masterpiece.

This program is $25 for adults (15-61), $20 for seniors (62+), $15 for children (3-14). Babies 2 and under are free. Zoo Members can receive a 10% discount.

Camp Registration Opens Soon

We know you’re excited to register for summer Zoo Camp! Registration opens February 21 for Zoo Members and March 1 for non-members.

Our camps are designed for kids based on the grade the child is entering.

Discovery Camp is for grades K-1, Adventure Camp is for grades 2-3, and Heroes Camp is for grades 4-6.

The Puppies Have Names!

So many people have been following our painted dog puppies’ story with interest, and we’ve finally named the trio! From left to right, the boys are Ares, Apollo, and Artemis.

Every painted dog has a different pattern of spots, so you can easily tell them apart! Ares has the most speckles on his front legs and the largest black band on his tail. Apollo has the most white on his chest and a small black band on his tail. Artemis is the darkest overall and he has a medium black band on his tail.
