Daughters of Neptune are Looking for the 2025 Court

We are looking for girls who would like to join the Daughters of Neptune Program for 2025. You need to be between the ages of 14 to 17 while serving as a Daughter of Neptune. It can be a daughter, Granddaughter or any girl wishing to help promote Life Jacket Awareness, and Water Safety. Clubs that would like to sponsor a Daughter but don't have one can contact Alicia Robinson for details. We are also always looking for Adult Chaperones to help run the program.

If you can help, please contact Alicia at Alicia@CRYA.us.

Opening Day May 3rd, 2025 Updates

Opening Day will be upon us very soon and we are working to make sure we are ready come May 3rd. Some of the things we are doing could use your help. While we work on the logistics of the parade route and such, it is also critical that we work to get the Community involved in our parade. We will be forming 2 committees. One will focus on the parade route logistics, and the second will focus on Community involvement for the day as well as the theme. These committees will be chaired by Tony Bacon for the Parade Route, and Bev Hamlik for theme and community. At this point they are planning to have bi-monthly meetings for quick updates on progress and planning.

How can you Help? Both Tony and Bev would like to have volunteers from our CRYA membership to help work out all the possible options.

Can you help? Please contact Tony Bacon at Tony@crya.us. or Bev Hamlik at Bev@crya.us to be included. You can find updates as well on our website as Tony has been working on a page that keeps information available as we get it. It should be a wonderful day come May 3rd!

So, are we going to be able to use

Beacon Rock Docks this year?

We are Happy to say that the short answer is yes! The Park Ranger sent an update to our President Bernie Bacon outlining the remaining issues as well as short term and long-term expectations. The Beacon Rock Park rangers need to get an updated use permit for the water occupied by the docks from the Washington Department of Natural Resources. Although somewhat of a formality, "official" dock repairs to the power and pumpout areas of the dock remain on hold. But, some basic repairs have reattached the loose deck boards and they feel the dock is useable. As the details are finalized for the land lease as well as permits for the repairs to the power and pumpout section of the dock the Park Maintenance team will be able to do those repairs in about two weeks' time. During that repair time, the docks will be closed. We will monitor the progress and make sure that member clubs that might be in the repair time closure are notified. We wish it was all done, but right now it seems that we have a slight compromise to work with for using the docks this year.

Content in your Club's Newsletters that all Boaters should read?

We can't see every club's internal communication, but we have to think some of the articles would be great information for all boaters. If you find that article of interest, please forward it to cryanews@gmail.com after getting approval to share. We can all be more informed.
