It is hard to believe that the Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce’s 66th Annual Awards Banquet is just a few months away. Although I have yet to experience this event steeped in tradition and community engagement in my current role, I have been an attendee. I cherish the opportunity to learn more about how people are making a positive difference in our community. These are the people that are putting others before themselves, lending a hand when it is needed, and inspiring us all to strive for a better future. In addition to the people, we are lucky to have so many businesses that are truly exceptional corporate citizens, impacting our community and local economy.
I think it’s safe to say that we all know people and businesses that exemplify these traits. Please take the time to reflect on those that you see doing exceptional things. We present several awards to recognize the coveted Outstanding Citizen of the Year, Eagle Awards, Rising Star, Small Business, and Large Business.
