President's Post
Welcome to 2019,

I am excited to begin 2019 as the new President/CEO of the Defiance Area Chamber of Commerce. I have spent nearly 30 years working with businesses in Northwest Ohio and I plan to use those experiences and relationships moving forward in my new position. I look forward to getting to know all of you as I search for ways to strengthen member businesses and improve our community.

Below you will find our events scheduled for the month of January. Please join us to learn more about ProMedica Defiance Regional Hospital or for some professional networking at our Business After Hours sponsored by Malhoit & Associates.

February brings us our second First Friday Luncheon of 2019. Our speaker will be Mayor Mike McCann and will be held at the Defiance Eagles Aerie #372. Next on our calendar for February will be Business After Hours, sponsored and hosted by The Hubbard Co. We will finish off the month with our first Free Business Seminar conducted by the Employers Association. This class will feature Time Management Tune Up tips and tricks to help you manage your time more effectively.

The 2019 Defiance Area Chamber of Commerce Community Calendar's are ready for pick up. Stop by our office at 325 Clinton St. or give us a call at 419-782-7946 to get your calendar!
Defiance Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation Scholarship Fund
This non-renewable scholarship will be awarded annually to be used for post-secondary education by providing up to two $1,000 scholarships to Eligible Persons who attend a qualified educational institution. Qualified educational institutions include all accredited institutions. 

Eligible applicants include all chamber members in good standing, member's employees, employee's spouse, and employee's dependents who are accepted at an accredited university or college pursuing a degree, certification, or license.
 
Applications should be mailed to the Defiance Area Chamber of Commerce office at 325 Clinton Street, Defiance, OH 43512 no later than  March 22nd, 2019 .
