Happy New Year!
2022 is here! We have all heard of the great RESIGNATION, RESHUFFLE, RESET. We officially are going to go with the great REEMERGENCE and REAPPEARANCE in 2022!! Cherry Creek is primed to have a fantastic year with new businesses filling our commercial buildings and our retail. No one is going to want to stay away!
In regard to your Chamber, we believe that we have a proven template in place to deliver services to our membership. Our mission, which was tweaked 15 years ago, still aligns with our values…To welcome business leaders to the Cherry Creek Experience by providing opportunities for unique connections, professional and personal growth, and service to our community. This Chamber is all about our Members and will continue to be in 2022. We want you to take advantage of all of your Chamber Membership Benefits this year because we know that if you utilize them, they will help you grow professionally and help your business grow.
Though it is bittersweet to lose three of our exceptional board members who completed their terms and are moving on to new opportunities (Karrie Fletcher - Alpine Bank | Chas Runco – Runco & Proffitt Law | Anne Frye - Ivvy), we are pleased to welcome Marc Purvis with Guaranteed Rate Affinity, Esther Lee Leach with Cherry Creek Fashion | Clayton Hotel & Members Club, and Heather McCoy with MidFirst Bank who along with our seasoned Board will continue to help steer this Chamber in the direction that will provide value to our members and community.

What brought you to start your business or get into your industry?
I decided I wanted to transition out of education but still use the skills I learned as an instructional coach to work with other people to help them achieve their goals. When I left education, I took time to focus on myself (it also helped that was when the world shut down due to COVID) and figure out what I needed to live my best life. By developing new habits, setting goals, and making a plan, I came to a place where I am truly happy about how my life is being lived. And now, I work with other people to help them get to this point too!

What do you love most about what you do?
I enjoy supporting women on their journey to build a better, more desirable life for themselves. Women are always giving; it's just a part of their DNA. I love helping them invest in themselves, take time for themselves, and be a part of a journey where they could go from feeling anxious, insecure or worn down to confident, happy, and competent.

How can the Chamber help you?
I think it's important to continue as a society to destigmatize mental health and prioritize it for individuals. I want to reach as many people as I can, but a life coach is a relatively new concept. The Chamber can help by continuing to share this as a business with others and backing the value of having a support person and systems in place to make improvements in people's lives. Valuing this type of service and spreading the word will help my business continue to grow.
