BACnet International is pleased to announce Michael Osborne as the new Technical Advisor for BACnet Testing Laboratories (BTL).
As Technical Advisor, Michael Osborne will provide technical input on project and process management for testing oversight activities including recognition of test organizations, demonstration of test results equivalency among test organizations, and verification of testing efficacy.
Responsibilities also include review of test results, product implementation guidance, support of recognized test organizations, participation in the BTL-WG, test development, test process documentation, and test automation.

Based on Department of Defense (DoD) documents. This session will showcase the first public look at BACnet International's interpretation of the Guide Specification. The Guide Spec covers BACnet objects and services and can be inserted into the Building Automation System (BAS) Designer’s existing Division 23 or 25 specification. This Guide Spec will be a valuable resource for BAS Designers and Specifiers as it will save time and make it much easier to develop project documents, plus it's free. Attendees at this session will receive a link to be one of the first to download the Guide Spec.

Finding BACnet information and education resources just got easier, and this presentation will show how. We will explore the new BACnet global web portal created through a major, coordinated update to the five most frequently visited BACnet sites.

AHR Expo Carpet Stickers
Look for them at the show!
Companies that have at least one BTL-Listed product will be able to display our BTL Mark carpet sticker in their booth. If you're in one of these booths, be sure to ask about their BACnet products.
If your company has a BTL Listed product, please contact Dave Nardone to request a carpet sticker for use in your booth. You can then stop by the BACnet International booth (C5400) to pick up the sticker or we will be dropping them off pre-show.
Over 900 BTL-listed products will be highlighted at the show with 88 exhibiting companies having earned the right to use the BTL Mark.

If you have an article topic or case study you think would be of interest, get in touch! Send a short article abstract by Friday, February 10th to kathleen@bacnetinternational.org.

Get involved at the AHR Expo!

BACnet International, along with 82 member companies, will be exhibiting at the 2023 AHR Expo in Atlanta from February 6th - 8th. There will also be 929 BTL Listed Products represented at the show. Look for the BTL carpet stickers which will highlight those companies that have at least one BTL listed product.
If you'll be attending the AHR Expo we've got some great opportunities for you to gain knowledge and network. Aside from the education sessions mentioned above, stop by the BACnet International booth (C5400) to learn more about BTL testing & certification, the free resources available in The BACnet Institute, and the future of BACnet security.

The BACnet Institute (TBI) is an online portal for BACnet-focused learning and knowledge sharing. It provides an easy path to BACnet information and learning for everyone involved with BACnet systems. The portal includes three on-demand FREE courses and over 150 resources including white papers, articles, presentations and a community forum. TBI Resources are free, but registration for an account is required. Courses are eligible for CEUs and PDHs.
Each year TBI continues to grow. Since its launch in January 2017, over 6,000 registered users across more than 80 countries have accessed its resources. TBI’s simple search function allows users to get quick access to anything they need.
