Leadership Howard County Announcements

January 2023

“And now we welcome the new year. Full of things

that have never been."

-   Rainer Marie Rilke

LHC held its General Membership Breakfast & Gift Drive on December 16, with featured speaker Tracy Broccolino, President of Howard County's Community Action Council (CAC). Together, as part of CAC's "Adopt a Student/Classroom" campaign, LHC alumni came together to donate gifts to support a classroom of children at Old Cedar Lane School. Certainly, a fantastic way to share some holiday magic and mark the end of 2022 by doing some good! Thank you all; please click here to read a special message from Tracy.

Chesapeake National Recreation Area

Did you know that a new national park area for the Chesapeake Bay region is currently being proposed?

Efforts are underway to designate a collection of new and existing parks and public lands throughout the Chesapeake Bay area as the new national recreation area. Plan on attending this free session to learn more.
