HPD HomeFirst down payment assistance program will provide a grant up to $40,000 in down payment and closing cost assistance to be used towards the purchase of a home in one of the five boroughs.

The First Time Homebuyer Education Workshop is offered in one session of 6 hours and a 2 hour session of pre-purchase housing counseling that can be done before or after the workshop. Completion of both is required to receive the Homebuyer Education Certificate.
