Spring Swim Lessons
Sign up for swim lessons in our heated pools! Learn to swim, learn a new sport and have fun! 

Saturday Morning Classes at Kino and Skyline. Classes run March 9 - April 20th.

Spring Afterschool and Homeschool Swim Teams
Spring Afterschool Swim Team  - Get a jump start on our summer swim season with the Afterschool Swim Team! Improve stroke technique, increase stamina and enjoy friendships in this positive team environment. Practices are held Tuesdays and Thursdays from April 2 - May 9. Registration starts January 7th for Mesa residents.
Spring Homeschool Swim Team -  Recreation Homeschool Swim Team provides a fun environment for your child to learn and improve stroke technique, increase fitness and socialize in a positive team setting. Enjoy Tuesday and Thursday practices for an hour each time. Season runs April 2 - May 9. Registration starts January 7th for Mesa residents.
Best Job Ever!
Best Job Ever...... Yes, Lifeguarding is the best job ever and you can become a Lifeguard and Instructor! Get trained and certified this spring in preparation for testing and hiring in March. Classes begin in February with a variety of schedules available including Spring Break.

Jr. Home Run Derby
City of Mesa Youth Sports and the Oakland Athletics will be hosting Pitch, Hit and Run and the Jr. Home Run Derby, Feb. 19, at Hohokam Stadium, 1235 N. Center St. .The event is free and open to boys and girls ages 7 to 14. A’s players will be at the event.

Pitch, Hit and Run, presented by Scotts, is the official skills competition of Major League Baseball. Participants can advance through four levels of competition. The Junior Home Run Derby includes three levels of competition. The top performers nationally from both events will advance to the National Finals during MLB All-Star Week.

Free Family Fishing Day
Join City of Mesa Parks and Recreation and the Arizona Game & Fish Department for a morning of fishing and fun! Equipment, bait and leadership will be provided. Fishing licenses are not required during the event for those who register at the event booth.

Adventures With Park Rangers
Kids and their families will love interacting with our Park Rangers with nature appreciation activities and crafts. This event will focus on “Nature Sleuths – who lives in parks?” We will be looking at animal tracks, birds, bugs, and who hides out at the wash. This event is free.
