Please join us in welcoming January's Featured Artist, photographer Justin Lawson. A reception for the artist will be held on Thursday, January 3 at 6:30 pm. All are welcome, light refreshments will be served.

My name is Justin Lawson and photography has always been my passion. Whether it be wild birds or images that capture dark emotions. The current project I am working on is just that, dark. Many people battle invisible forces and often, battle them alone. In my photos you as a viewer may see a beautiful feminine body. However my subjects unfortunately see themselves as some kind of monster battling hidden inner demons. My images try and capture beautiful people that see themselves through the ugliest of glasses. Many beautiful people have a disturbing sense of self-worth and through my art they worked up the courage to try and crack through their walls of depressions, anxiety, and insecurities and let some light shine through. I'm proud of the work I've done and I am proud of the people that believed in themselves and trusted me to showcase their pain in the most beautiful, purest, vulnerable, and rawest of ways.
