2018 IAHQ Annual Conference Agenda Being Finalized; See you at NIU Naperville Campus, May 8, 2018
IAHQ's 2018 annual conference is taking shape and the full agenda will be shared and registration opened in February.

Expect presentations on:

  • How ACOs are improving care and outcomes
  • Value of learning networks to drive improvement
  • Strategies for improving care coordination beyond hospital walls
  • How clinical quality measures are developed and implications for care at the bedside
  • Management of high-risk medications
  • Managing team dynamics to drive QI

The conference will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at the NIU Naperville Conference Center, 1120 E Diehl Rd, Naperville, IL 60563. Programming is being finalized.

New This Year! Reception and Poster Competition

Following the main daytime conference, IAHQ will have a networking reception and QI and patient safety poster competition. Plan to share your QI and patient safety successes from the inpatient, ambulatory, long-term care, and other settings in which you work. there is no need to recreate your poster from scratch unless you want to. You are encouraged to present posters you have used at state, regional or national meetings. Additional details to come. Please send an email with the following information to IAHQ.net@gmail.com:

  2. Abstract including problem statement, actions and results (do not exceed 250 words)

Job Summary:

  • Organizes and coordinates performance improvement program activities and workflow.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary team on problem identification and resolution, cost containment issues, implementation of new services and systems/ performance measures.
  • Researches, develops/acquires and implements improvement systems, methodologies and tools to improve operations.
  • Collaborates with Leaders to develop and revise screening indicators.
  • Provides on-site training and follow-up for performance improvement teams.

Qualifications: 

  • Required Credential(s):
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. 

Education:

  • HS or Equivalent 
  • High school diploma or equivalent required Bachelor's degree preferred

Work Experience:

  • Three or more years of experience in managed care required, preferably in quality improvement.
  • Registered Nurse will Illinois License, bachelors in nursing or health care related field preferred. Knowledge of managed care, HEDIS, data collection. 
  • Responsible for data collection, collation and dissemination of data.. good interpersonal skills, must be comfortable speaking in front of physicians and other population health leaders, and have presentation skills. 
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal
  • supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.Collaborates with multidisciplinary team on problem identification and resolution, cost containment
  • issues, implementation of new services and systems/ performance measures. • Researches, develops/acquires and implements improvement systems, methodologies and tools to improve
