Volume XVII, Issue 1 | January 2026

Greetings!

Welcome 2026! We have 22 dance classes, 5 ceili's, 6 concerts, 1 house concert, and 1 cruise scheduled for YOU before the end of the season on May 28! Surely we would hope to enjoy your company at several of these!

Looking back to 2025, I have been very active and will continue to be active with the All-Ireland Cultural Society, the Winona Grange, the Abernathy Grange and the American Red Cross, (which I have donated 24 times this year for a total of 46 units of platelets and 10 units of plasma to help those in need!)

Best to all, Samuel and Anne

2nd Saturday Community Concerts

Forged out of the traditional music scenes of Scotland and Ireland—yet influenced by the sounds of the Balkans, North America, and far beyond—Dallahan have spent over a decade guiding audiences through a musical world tour of their own making. Their dazzling live show, marked by restless creativity and stunning virtuosity, has come to be defined by its refusal to

sit still. Guitarist and singer Jack Badcock, banjo player Ciaran Ryan, accordionist Andrew Waite, and fiddler Benedict Morris form the band that has evolved continuously while somehow remaining rooted in the traditions that first brought

them together.

Now, with well over a decade together, Dallahan stands as a veteran touring outfit whose sound has matured without ever losing its exploratory spark. Their worldwide cult following—built slowly, show by show, across several continents—reflects a band that has grown into its own identity while continually pushing its boundaries.

John Whelan has created an epic band called Taisce Baile (mythical meaning - My Treasured Home) with Lennart

Jansson and Clint Dye.

Often hailed as one of the world's best living Irish button accordion players, seven-time All-Ireland champion John Whelan has been praised for his humor and high-energy blend with impeccable musicianship by The Wall Street Journal.

Lennart Jansson is an Irish traditional musician from Seattle.

A multi-instrumentalist, Lennart plays fiddle, uilleann pipes, concertina, and tin whistle, and is known for championing the use of the baroque viola damore in Irish music.

Clint Dye has settled in the Pacific Northwest, where he has been active in the Irish music scene, performing in concerts, providing his tasteful backing for such artists as Randal Bays, Gráinne Hambly, and Mick OBrien.
