This class provides a learning session to enable Sri Vidya upasakas familiar with Shodasa Upachara Puja to perform yantra puja to one of the most important deities in the Sri Vidya tradition - Shyama. The Yantra puja is as taught by Guruji Amritananda of Devipuram. This is a beginner-mid level course which is appropriate for those who are totally new to Yantra Puja or have never performed it themselves.

Ganapati Tarpanam is a simple ritual that anyone can do at home in about 30 minutes. It involves offering abhishekam to Ganapati 444 times accompanied by the chanting of the Maha Ganapati mantra. The ritual is highly recommended by Guruji Amritananda for one’s spiritual practice as well as for the satisfaction of worldly desires. At the end of this class, participants should be able to perform this ritual at home on their own.

This class provides a learning opportunity for everyone to learn the sacred ritual that invites the powers of nature into our bodies through the medium of touch or awareness. Kalavahana is a special technique devised by Sri Amritanandanatha (Guruji) of Devipuram, which focuses on merging the external and internal forms of worship. This is a special technique for self-empowerment through accepting and experiencing our true divine nature.

Due to the limited availability, we will be accepting participants on a first come first serve basis.

All our classes are offered free of cost. Donations to support the temple’s learning mission are gratefully accepted. Donations are tax-exempt in the US to the extent allowed by law. To make a donation, please visit our Learning Donation page. You can also give back to the temple by volunteering at the temple, especially just before, during or after temple festivals.

More classes are planned, and all official classes offered by the Sri Vidya Temple will be announced on a monthly basis by email, as well as via the SVTS Learning Telegram group.
