WHAT'S NEW?
LIBRARY TAKEOVER: ARTE Y CAFECITO
Our next Library Takeover series will begin in January and will take place at the Fair Oaks Branch Library.

Arte y Cafecito is presented by Ana Avendano and Colectivo Cultural de NFO/Culture Collective of NFO. The series will provide a space for artists and art enthusiasts of all kinds to share their talents, skills, and artistry with the community. The series includes Family Paint Night, Open Mic Night, and Drumming Circle Night. Arte y Cafecito strives to bring together the communities of North Fair Oaks and Redwood City to celebrate local talent, local history, and local culture. The programs will be held in both Spanish and English.

The series will kick off with a Family Paint Night on Friday, January 10, from 6:00-8:00pm. Family Paint Night will be a hands-on experience for families to learn from a local artist. We invite you to a fun community building night, to learn about local art and culture... with coffee!  Tickets are available for individuals to sign up for a paint class. Register here 
 
TOMA DE LA BIBLIOTECA: ARTE Y CAFECITO
Nuestra próxima serie de toma de la biblioteca comenzará en enero y tendrá lugar en la sucursal de Fair Oaks de la Biblioteca de Redwood City.

La serie proporcionará un espacio para artistas y entusiastas del arte de todo tipo para compartir sus talentos, habilidades y arte con la comunidad. NEWS FROM THE FRIENDS
We have something for you to look forward to in January!

The Friends of the Redwood City Public Library will be starting something new in January. Stop by the Friends Bookstore at the Downtown Library for weekly 25 cent sales of popular authors.

The Friends mission is to support community programs at the four branches of the Redwood City Public Library. They  do that by raising funds through sale of donated books and other materials, as well as membership dues and donations.
