Who are the

Friends of the

Saint Peter Library?

A group of people interested in libraries and the services they provide, good literature, and programs and events that promote the use of the St. Peter Library.

A friend membership is just $15 annually. 

Your membership helps pay for library programs, the Summer Reading Program, library materials, and special events!

Be as involved with the Friends group as your schedule allows. 

It's the easiest group to belong to - no volunteer hours are required!

Winter Survival Lit (Kit)

Winter Reading Program



Adults and Teens

What better way to spend those long winter days than joining our Winter Reading Program? Between January 1st and February 29th, every book you read or listen to counts for an entry into two prize drawings!


Simply fill out a review bookmark for each title and return it to the St. Peter Library. Drawings will occur in early February and again in early March. You will be notified if you win a prize. Virtual Author Talks

Enjoy a range of talks from bestselling authors and thought leaders



Brought to you in partnership with the Library Speakers Consortium. These events are made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant provided by the Traverse des Sioux Library Cooperative, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund. The event is held in coordination with the Library Speakers Bureau and presented by the Saint Peter Public Library.

Wednesday Storytimes with Brenda follow the school calendar.

Family Book Club

Family Book Club


Ages Kdg – grade 8

The idea behind a family book club is that everyone in your family, despite all age differences, reads the same book. Family can mean many things; invite friends and extended family too! Once the book has been read, whether aloud together or separately, gather as a family in person or virtually to discuss and do activities together. Pick up a family book club form at the library or print one at home. Prize Drawing for completing book reviews.

AniManga Club


Gather with other teens ages 13-18 to read your favorite Manga and watch Anime, while joining in lively discussions and activities. Participants will receive a copy of the selected graphic novel before each meeting that they will get to keep.
