Recipe: Polish Sausage Casserole


Ingredients for 12 servings

4 cups Penne pasta, uncooked

2 lbs. Louie's Smoked Polish Sausage, cut into 1/2 inch slices

2 cans Cream of Mushroom Soup, undiluted

1 (16 oz.) jar Sauerkraut, drained

3 cups shredded Swiss Cheese

1 1/3 cups Milk

4 green onions, chopped (substitute regular onions if necessary)

2 tbsp Dijon mustard

4 cloves Garlic, minced


Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350 F.
  • Grease two 8-inch baking dishes.
  • Cook the pasta to al dente according to package directions.
  • Drain the pasta and transfer to a large bowl.
  • Stir the sausage, cream of mushroom soup, sauerkraut, 2 cups of the cheese, milk, onions, mustard, and garlic into the pasta.
  • Put the mixture into the baking dishes.
  • Sprinkle the top with the remaining Swiss Cheese.
  • Bake, uncovered, until golden brown and bubbly (about 50 minutes).
  • Serve.

Most hunting seasons are now closed, and our crew is hard at work processing your wild game sausage orders! We will contact you when your order is completed - many orders are being finished each week.


Louie's accepts boneless wild game year-round for processing. We use our award-winning recipes to make your wild game sausage!


Boneless venison may be brought to the Louie's Finer Meats main store (2025 Superior Avenue, Cumberland) during regular business hours. Clean, high quality venison in food grade containers only. No scented garbage bags or other non-food containers.


Do you make your own sausage at home? We can help you with that too! We carry the spices, casings, grinding meats, and advice you need.


All whole deer have been cut and you may pick up your steaks and roasts anytime, if you haven't already.
