Although  in the thick of winter in Area 1, we have a lot of exciting news to share this month! Be sure to scroll all the way down to learn about all of the ARP opportunities for 2026!

ADULT RIDER NEWS & UPDATES

If you renew your ARP membership by January 31st you will be entered into a drawing for 1 of 3 Adult Rider Program sun shirts. Anyone with active ARP membership by February 28th entered into a drawing for 1 of 3 ARP saddle pads. The sooner you renew, the more prizes you're eligible to win!

2026 TEAM COMPETITION OPPORTUNITIES

The team competition opportunities for 2026 are now posted. More information can be found here. 

• All season long - Area 1 ARP Virtual Team Challenge | Sign up by April 17th
• JUN 21 - Area 1 ARP Challenge at Valinor Farm | Plymouth MA
• JUN 28 - The Young and the Rest of Us at Larkin Hill Farm H.T. | Nassau, NY
• AUG 22-23 - Area 1 ARP Challenge at Area Championships | S. Strafford, VT
• OCT 24 - ARP Cross Over Team Challenge at Hitching Post Farm H.T. | South Royalton, VT

2026 AEC ATC

The Adult Team Championship at American Eventing Championship will offer team competition at Starter through Modified levels and low score awards at Preliminary level. Letter of intents and ARP membership are due by August 1st to participate on a team. More information can be found here and will be communicated later this Spring.

2026 LOW SCORE AWARD OPPORTUNITIES

This year we will have Adult Rider Program low score awards across the area:

• At each level: GMHA Festival; Millbrook and Area Championships
• Overall event low score: Apple Knoll (June) Course Brook (July) GVH (July) GVRDC (August) and UNH (September)
