Transitions at the Chamber
A Note from the Executive Director
Dear Fellow Members and Friends,

I am pleased to announce that 2019 was one of the Chamber’s most successful years, both financially and by the number of activities produced by the Chamber, thanks to a supportive Board and excellent staff. Looking ahead to 2020, indications are that the Chamber will continue to do as well.

This year marks the 40 th Anniversary of the Seattle-Nantes Sister City relationship which we will celebrate with a variety of delegations to and from Nantes, France as well as cultural celebrations here in Seattle. We will also celebrate Seattle’s French Fest for its eighth year this March, host the second edition of the Seattle European-American Air forum in June, and welcome the Beaujolais Nouveau with our 28 th annual celebration in November. Our members can look forward to the re-launch of our Life Science and Le Networking Committees in mid-February as a taste of the many wonderful events to come this year.

The Chamber will also see some changes this year. After 25 years as the Executive Director of the FACC-PNW and 22 years as the Honorary Consul of France in Seattle, I will retire on July 30, 2020. Currently there is an active search committee for my replacement as Executive Director of the Chamber. I appreciate the support of the French-American Business Community over these many years and I will treasure the friendship and relationships I have had with many of the members. I will remain in the Seattle area after my retirement.

Jack A. Cowan, Executive Director
Welcome New Trade & Events Intern
The FACC-PNW is pleased to welcome a new intern, Marine Bonavita, who has taken over the role of Trade and Events Assistant. During a third year at Sciences Po Aix, she decided to pursue a one year internship abroad, beginning in London as CEO assistant before coming in Seattle for 6 months. Marine is really excited to join the Chamber and to work with such wonderful community. You can expect to see Marine at our events and committee meetings. We hope that you will join us in giving her a warm welcome! To contact Marine, you may connect with her on LinkedIn or email her at trade@faccpnw.org.
