Angela Dowd-Burton is the Editor-in-Chief of Drexel University's DUBAC A Legacy to Share, a book celebrating Notable Black Alumni, the Drexel 100, and Drexel Pioneers, exploring their inspiring lives. Soon to be released, it will be a dynamic resource for college students, parents, and educators. Proceeds from sales will benefit the Drexel University Black Alumni Council Scholarship Fund. Join the launch online with DUBAC, Sat, Jan 22, featuring Angela Dowd-Burton and contributing authors.
Rob Fleming is now the Director of On-line Innovation with the Weitzman School of Design at the University of Pennsylvania.
Richard Bickel will attend and participate in the Transportation Research Board Annual Meeting in Washington, DC, this month.
Joyce Lee co-authored Green Trends in Museum Retail which appeared in the American Alliance of Museums blog, discussing waste reduction in the post pandemic world. Also, in December, Joyce was interviewed by Institute for Market Transformation, a DC-based, non-profit think tank.
Bernard Markstein was quoted in Bankrate’s Fourth-Quarter Economic Indicator survey of economists. The survey and Mr. Marstein's quote were picked up for a news article published in Bakersfield.com.
Sidney Wong presented "Population, Industrial Chain, and Chinese Speed" online, in Macau, focused on the Greater Bay Area, ASEAN nations, and Malaysia. Mr. Wong has also submitted for publication in Beijing, Liang Sicheng, Lin Huiyin and City Planning in China, chronicling the research of two 1927 University of Pennsylvania graduates of China's urban planning from 1912-1952, featuring American and English architects who were involved.
Michael Golden reports a strong year for corporate transactions leading to employee ownership and wealth creation for lower paid workers. SES ESOP Strategies managed more than 30 ESOP transactions, more than $500 million and several thousand new employee-owners. ESOPs are a tax-advantaged sale strategy for privately-held corporation shareholders – a fair price, preserving their legacy, and providing their employees with substantial retirement retirement security.
