Community CPR Class
Did you know we provide Basic First Aid, CPR, and AED Training. This course is taught by certified American Red Cross Instructor, who administers both the cognitive portion of the course and hands on skills practice and testing. We are offering a special no cost CPR course for the community in February. This course has limited space and is on a first come, first serve basis until we hit our class maximum size.

Defensive Driving
Our Defensive Driving course teaches participants how to recognize and change risky driving behaviors. Join us:

ARSC CONFINED SPACE TRAINING (A13CSE)
Confined Space Entry will provide all the participants with requirements needed to stay safe and remain compliant with the essential regulations that govern the industry. This training is for entrants, attendants and includes the duties of host employers, controlling contractors, persons who test or monitor the atmosphere and rescue services in permit and non-permit required confined spaces.

IPQF
NOW AVAILABLE
The Safety Council of Southwest Louisiana is dedicated to offering top quality products and services. For this reason, we have upgraded and redesigned our PQF product. It is urgent that you convert into the new platform so that owners can view your updated IPQF.

Starting January 1, 2021 we will not support the current PQF product. This product will carter to your specific needs and lessen your administrative burden. We are excited to to assist your company in standing out to our local owners and complying with PQF requirements.

NEWS YOU NEED TO KNOW

American Association of Safety Councils Scholarship
AASC Safety Council member company employees or family members are eligible to apply for a $1500 scholarship. Membership must be current and established for not less than twelve months. The scholarship applicant must currently be a full-time student in the sophomore level or higher at an accredited college or university. The student must have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher and will be selected by the Scholarship Committee based on involvement in community/school organizations, leadership positions held, awards received and a strong emphasis will be placed on a submitted essay relating to how safety and health are important in their life and/or career.
Application deadline is March 1, 2021 to be considered for the 2021 AASC Award
