Dance classes resumed on January 3 for all studio classes and all school/daycare classes that are in session. If your child takes dance classes at a school that is not yet in session, we will see them when their school classes resume!

As we enter into 2023, all of us at Mobile Bay Dance Academy would like to thank you for sharing your children with us! We are truly grateful for the opportunity to work with so many wonderful dancers.

Recital Costume
EVERY DANCER PERFORMS IN THE RECITAL.
All dance classes will have at least 2-3 full dance routines in the recital. Costume money was due on November 1st.
Costume fees ARE NOT included in tuition. 
The total cost for each costume is $75.00. Each dancer will only have one costume, some costumes will be a 2-in-1. These 2-in-1 dance costumes are convertible costumes appropriate for multiple dance genres. There will be an option to purchase costumes through PayPal in October.
There are no costume refunds.

Costume Measurements
All students have been measured for costumes. Although rare, alterations are sometimes needed after the costumes have been distributed and are the sole responsibility of the student’s parent or guardian.

The recital Fee reserves your child's place in the recital. This also helps cover the cost of the tech crew, props, security, recital medals & music licensing for rehearsal and recital weekend.

All students dancing with MBDA at the dance studio, their school, preschool, or daycare are invited to dance with us.

Recital tickets 
Recital tickets will go on sale in March!
Tickets will be sold online again this year!
Other expenses will include costumes, recital tickets, tights & shoes.
Dance Recital programs are optional to purchase.
RECITAL PROGRAM INFORMATION
Every year, one of the highlights of our recital is the beautiful keepsake program book that showcases our studio and students. Each family is encouraged to support their dancer by buying or selling an ad that can include a picture, words of wisdom, best wishes, or congratulations. Ask your family, friends, grandparents, aunts, uncles and local businesses to sponsor a picture page for your dancer. Students can be pictured together with a fellow dancer and the families can share the expense. Students can also purchase more than one ad. Make your child's dance recital complete this recital by buying an ad for the annual recital program book. This is a great way to acknowledge the dancer in your life for all their hard work. It's also a great way to advertise for your business and reach a target demographic. We have different sizes available and ads start at just $25. 
You will choose the portrait that goes in the advertisement.
The dancer that sells the most ads will be featured as our 2023 Cover Girl.
COSTUME PORTRAITS
Class pictures and group pictures will be taken during your dancer's scheduled dance class times in
March or April.
More information about pictures/sitting fees, etc.. will be in the February newsletter.
Tuition
If you paid for fall semester, spring semester tuition is due by Jan 1.
Class fees are invoiced by the term. The full term invoice must be paid, regardless of the number of classes the student wishes to attend (or actually attends). There will be no refunds, credits, or transfers if the full term isn't completed. For your convenience, the term can be broken down into 9 monthly payments. When enrolling in our classes, you are committing to a service contract for a complete term.
Mobile Bay Dance Academy does not offer refunds for cancellations.

Dance Tuition is always due before the 1st dance class.
For your convenience, we have a Monthly Payment Option, Semester Payment Option as well as a Yearly Payment Option.
You will not receive a monthly invoice.
Please make sure you pay on time to avoid late fees. Tuition is based on a yearly rate, from September through May/June, paid in nine payments. Some months have three classes while other months have five classes. Monthly payment installments remain the same throughout the year. We do not prorate tuition for any reason.
Class Attendance
Students must attend classes regularly for their own benefit as well as the growth and development of the class as a whole. Our dance classes are based on individual commitment; however they are fueled by the entire class. If you are sick, running fever, showing symptoms of Covid-19 or someone living in your home has Covid-19, please stay home for the safety and wellness of our dance family and community. By coming to class we assume that all students are healthy and able to dance. If your child has a sprained ankle, cast, etc. PARENTS should let us know about the situation in advance and we will let your child observe the class.

No Parents or Visitors in Dance Class
No Parents or visitors are allowed in the dance classroom. Dancers are more focused and perform better with less people in the room. Dance is also about learning independence. You will see your dancer grow so much in confidence from their dance 
classes. If your child is feeling anxious about being in class without you, you can help by explaining to your child that they can show you what they learned after class.
