Quality Assurance: 2025 Learning Plan Now Available

It’s a new year and a new Learning Plan is now available!


Get your year started by setting your goals for 2025 in the COTO Portal. Put a focus on your professional growth to start the year and track your progress throughout the months ahead.


Log in to the COTO Portal and select the Quality Assurance button to start your plan.

Reminders and Dates to Remember

Board Elections in District 1

Nominations close tomorrow Wednesday, January 29, 2025.

The nominations for the upcoming 2025 Board of Directors elections are closing tomorrow! Eligible OTs in District 1 (Central) received an email yesterday with further instructions. 📧


Electoral District 1 (Central) — 2 positions

  • Includes: Toronto and Peel


There are two positions available in this district.


Voting starts Tuesday, February 18, 2025.


All occupational therapists eligible to vote in District 1 will receive a secure online ballot from Big Pulse electronic voting system that allows them to cast their vote in their respective electoral districts.


Voting closes March 5, 2025 at 2 pm.

Reminder: Opportunities

Practice & QA Subcommittees and Peer Assessors

There are currently several opportunities for registrants to get involved with the work of the College. We have openings for the following:


  • Practice Subcommittee
  • Quality Assurance Subcommittee
  • Peer Assessors


Committee members receive a per diem and are reimbursed for related expenses. Peer Assessors work on contract and are paid for their time at a set rate.


The deadline to apply is Thursday, February 6, 2025.

Tax season is around the corner! Registrants can now access their tax receipts through the COTO Portal. Log in and select 'Print Receipt' to download your document.

Communicating by Email

All regulated health professionals are required to keep their contact and employment information up-to-date with their regulator. Changes to the information must be made within 30 days.



Email is an easy, convenient way to ensure you receive important information from the College such as:



  • Notices for renewal and Quality Assurance requirements.
  • Notification if a complaint about you has been received by the College.
  • Consultations, opportunities and the College’s monthly newsletter.

The College Board is holding an in-person meeting on Thursday, January 30, 2025. All meetings are open to the public. To register to attend, contact astanier@coto.org.


Board meeting materials are posted on our website before each meeting. Highlights are posted after each meeting. Minutes are posted once approved by the Board.
