The Pacific Institute’s role convening the private sector to take global action on water was again visible during the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
On January 16, the Pacific Institute played a pivotal role convening leaders of some of the most influential global companies for the Water Resilience Coalition CEO Circle Meeting.
The Water Resilience Coalition and CEO Water Mandate are partnerships between the Pacific Institute and the United Nations Global Compact. To date, the Water Resilience Coalition has convened 35 global companies across multiple sectors with operations in more than 140 countries.
The Coalition's 2030 ambition is to engage 150 companies to build water resilience in their own operations and supply chains, as well as build water resilience across 100 identified water-stressed basins through multi-sector collective action. There are already 21 collective action projects underway in 15 water-stressed basins across Asia, Africa, South America, and North America.
