The Patient Experience
Our other new initiative is a focus on what is called the "Patient Experience". We want Cornerstone Pediatrics to be a warm, welcoming place where both parents and families feel comfortable. Our practice has gotten quite a bit busier over the last 18 months and we don't want the faster pace to impact how we treat the families who are trusting us with the care of their children. To make sure we continue to serve you effectively, we are spending the first quarter of the year focusing on our service to you.
We have already had a Patient Experience Consultant come in and spend some time with us discussing how we approach our jobs and how the ways we talk and act appear to parents and children. Later this month, our consultant will be conducting a focus group with about a dozen parents to determine how we can better meet your needs. We will also be conducting a Patient Experience Survey of all of our families to get YOUR feedback on how we are doing. Finally, we will be having a staff in-service on patient comfort, where a consultant will be spending a day helping us focus on keeping our patients comfortable during the sometimes painful procedures that need to happen to keep them healthy. We hope you will participate by completing the survey when you receive it and we ESPECIALLY HOPE you notice the effort we are putting into making sure your experience at Cornerstone Pediatrics is as great as we can make it.
