We Are:
"People Helping People"
The Needham Community Council is a private 501(C)3 non-profit organization which supports people in Needham who have under-met health, educational or social needs, and promotes volunteerism, community and a sense of shared responsibility.

Looking Back and Moving Forward
We are still riding the "Coronacoaster" but look to 2022 with hope and optimism. The Needham community continues to step up, buckle up, and help us help our neighbors during this challenging time. We are so grateful.

To see what you helped the Council accomplish over the past year, please check out our year of impact video:

Thank you to Temple Beth Shalom and "Project Ezra", spearheaded by Lois Sockol, for all their hard work helping us deliver 275 fully cooked Christmas dinners.
Dinners went to residents of Needham that were not able to join family or cook a large meal.

Lois celebrates 40 years of helping others during the holiday season! Thank you for all you do Lois.

We are so appreciative of your quality donations that help provide inventory for the thrift shop! We ask you to think: "Would I give this to my neighbor in the light of day?"

Donations are accepted during normal thrift shop hours. We are unable to accept donations on Wednesdays because we are distributing food at that time.
The Council Thrift will close
Monday, January 17th for Martin Luther King Day
Need in Needham Continues
We continue to do our best to provide support to Needham residents who need food. Food insecurity exists all year and we ask that anyone who wants to help to please consider making a financial gift.
Empowering Our Children
CAP is Back!
Third and Fifth graders at Eliot and Sunita Williams elementary schools will attend CAP workshops during January. CAP is an empowerment program teaching that all children have the right to be SAFE, STRONG and FREE. Parent/Guardian permission is requested for students to participate – be on the lookout for permission slips from your child’s school.
If you have any questions, please join the information meeting for a detailed description of the children’s presentation. Or contact cap@needhamcouncil.org
