We are still riding the "Coronacoaster" but look to 2022 with hope and optimism. The Needham community continues to step up, buckle up, and help us help our neighbors during this challenging time. We are so grateful.

NEEDHAM'S HEARTS ARE FULL
CHRISTMAS DINNERS

Thank you to Temple Beth Shalom and "Project Ezra", spearheaded by Lois Sockol, for all their hard work helping us deliver 275 fully cooked Christmas dinners.
Dinners went to residents of Needham that were not able to join family or cook a large meal.

Lois celebrates 40 years of helping others during the holiday season! Thank you for all you do Lois.

Take a leap over to The Council Thrift! We saved a heap of men’s button down collared shirts and will fill our racks – each shirt only $1.0
We are so appreciative of your quality donations that help provide inventory for the thrift shop! We ask you to think: "Would I give this to my neighbor in the light of day?"

Donations are accepted during normal thrift shop hours. We are unable to accept donations on Wednesdays because we are distributing food at that time.

Need in Needham Continues
We continue to do our best to provide support to Needham residents who need food. Food insecurity exists all year and we ask that anyone who wants to help to please consider making a financial gift.
CAP NEWS
Empowering Our Children
CAP is Back!
Third and Fifth graders at Eliot and Sunita Williams elementary schools will attend CAP workshops during January. CAP is an empowerment program teaching that all children have the right to be SAFE, STRONG and FREE. Parent/Guardian permission is requested for students to participate – be on the lookout for permission slips from your child’s school.

Other Programs
Tablets & Tutors

With 160 Tablets out in the Community we are moving from dissemination mode to higher education mode! We will provide focused instruction at our Tablet presentations so that attendees will know in advance the topic and what to expect. We will cover everything from Powering On to Zooming into an exercise class! If you know anyone who needs help connecting to the internet, please have them call us.
English Language Learning - ELL

The FREE English Language Learning program housed at the Council is steadily growing. We continue to place tutors and students together and started group classes at the Needham Department of Public Works for those employees. If you know someone who might be interested in becoming a tutor or someone in need of lanuage and cultural support, please call the office at 781-444-2415.
Medical Equipment Loan

Do you need a loan? We have an assortment of wheelchairs, walkers, toilet risers, and much more available for loan to Needham residents.  

Call us M-F, 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. at 781-444-2415 to check availability and make arrangements for pickup. 
Transportation

Need help getting to a appointment in or around Needham? We are available to help you get where you need to go. You do not need to be income-eligible to take advantage of this program.
