East End Hospice's three-year Balm Wellness Initiative, brings self care and wellness to EEH staff. The initiative layers self-care activities into existing educational programs and creates an Annual Wellness Event.

Through the Initiative, EEH employees will learn about and experience integrative healthcare modalities (IHM) from experts in the field. The Initiative is a first step in growing EEH's IHM offerings with the long-term goal of bringing Integrative Healthcare to our patients.

EEH thanks The Balm Foundation for recognizing the importance of self-care in the workplace.
Salazar Family Hosts Purple Dinner to benefit
EEH's Kanas Center for Hospice Care
In recognition of the help and support provided to her husband Mario and her family, Aida Salazar hosted a purple dinner to raise funds for our Kanas Center for Hospice Care, where her husband spent his final days in September. Aida and her sons Felipe and Santiago, recently presented EEH's Kanas Center nurse Susan DiGeronimo with a check for $1,200. Aida is already working on her 2022 memorial dinner. We are overwhelmed by the generosity of the Salazar family and their friends for supporting our mission, and we were honored to care for Mario.
