Happy New Year! It’s 2024 already, but let’s take a moment to celebrate all Jumpstart Philly accomplished in 2023!
Citywide lending!
In August, our Jumpstart Philly Loan Program began offering financing for investment projects citywide! Since then, our loan applications have increased 45%, the number of loans closed increased by 46% and the amount of funding committed increased by 48% compared to the same time period last year! We’re excited to serve all of Philadelphia to address the need for more affordable housing and remove blight from our neighborhoods.
Jumpstart Philly Loans
In 2023, we closed on our 400th loan! It's so exciting to see the impact our loan program has made across the city. Last year, we closed 66 loans, which was 29% more than 2022. Despite a difficult housing market, we are experiencing an increase in loan applications, loan approvals and closings!
Think Tank Events
Josh Pagan, Jumpstart Germantown graduate and mentor, brought this idea to us last summer and we’ve held 4 very successful Think Tanks so far! If you haven’t joined us, you might be thinking “What’s a Think Tank”? Jumpstarters with real estate development questions ask Jumpstarters for solutions, advice & support! It’s been amazing to experience the sharing of knowledge and experience within the Jumpstart community. After the Q&A, there’s plenty of time for networking and socializing. Training Programs
In 2023, Jumpstart Philly Founder Ken Weinstein hosted two Jumpstart Germantown Training Programs, in person, for the first time since 2020! It was great to connect face-to-face with attendees and allow them the opportunity for networking and sharing with one another. 115 people graduated from Jumpstart Germantown in 2023, which brings our total number of graduates to 1,495 since 2015!
JUMPinars - back in-person!
We hosted 17 JUMPinars this year, 7 in person and 10 virtual, with more than 800 attendees. Since May 2020, we’ve held 113 JUMPinars - many of which you can view online, for free, at JumpstartGermantown.com/media.
