Mini Workshop:
Four Flap Wrappers
Have you ever wondered how to make simple yet elegant casements for your artist books? Come to our first meeting of the new year and learn how to make a four-flap wrapper! Often used by conservationists, these easy-to-make casements provide both protection and wrappings for your books. Making them for all your books is bound to become part of your standard studio practice.

Please bring to the meeting: cutting mat, bone folder, X-Acto knife, ruler, scissors.

Guild members attend the mini workshop free;
others pay a materials fee of $5
Everyone is welcome!

Join in our book exchange! Make a small book based on a Valentines theme. Use a structure and materials of your choice. Your book will be exchanged for the book of another Guild member!

Note that this activity is optional. Participate in the exchange if you would like, or just join in the surprises, if you prefer. The book exchange will take place after the business meeting and mini workshop.

Our book exchange is inspired by the North Redwoods Book Arts Guild in Oregon. Read about their book exchange and visit their amazing archive of themed exchanges here.
