Prevention Happens in Partnership

We have a simple truth that drives us: Prevention is possible.

Though this truth may be simple, its implementation is multifaceted. To prevent child abuse and neglect, we need to support parents in meeting the needs of their families. That means creating an Arizona in which parents have the support to be resilient when a crisis happens, the social connections from which to draw strength and support, the knowledge to be the kind of parent they want to be and the kind of parent their children need, the access to the resources to keep their families afloat, and the opportunities their children need to learn how to be a good person in this world.

Prevention is all of that, and we can’t do it alone. Luckily, we aren’t doing it alone. Prevention happens in partnership. Every year, Prevent Child Abuse Arizona works with thousands of people across the state who care about children and families to find better ways and build better systems to uplift families. Each person has a unique, critical part to play, and when they play that part, prevention happens.

That’s why prevention is possible: because of the passion, drive, and steadfastness of people like you, unwilling to accept that we can’t do better for kids. Because we can. And we will.

Let’s prevent child abuse, Arizona, because childhood lasts a lifetime.

Here’s to another year of building together.
