"LGBTQIA2+ young people are a blessing to this world. The world may still be figuring that out, but it's true nonetheless."

-Jessie (she/her), Executive Director & CEO of IOYS

Thank you for your support!

Thank you so much to everyone who donated to Inside Out Youth Services through the Give Campaign, Colorado Gives Day, and in general through the month of December to support our upcoming move. We genuinely need support from the community to do what we do, and you all showed up for LGBTQIA2+ young people and raised over $50,000!

Update on our new community center

The IOYS team will spend the month of January moving into our new community center at 516 W. Colorado Ave. The current community center will be closed for programs the entire month of January. In the meantime, we will hold a combination of offsite and virtual programming. Young people should use Discord for up-to-date communications and/or email our programs team with questions. We plan to reopen programs in our new location the first full week of February. Stay tuned in to our socials for our moving progress!

Volunteers needed!

As a part of our move, we are working with volunteers to help us pack, unpack, and decorate our new space. If you are interested in supporting any of these endeavors, please contact our Volunteer Manager, Charlie (they/them).

Outcome Assessment Results

At the end of 2023, IOYS young people completed our Outcome Assessment in which they provide feedback on their learning and growth at IOYS. This survey informs the work we do at the community center and helps program staff identify areas for growth. This year, we saw immense growth for our young people across topics of mental health, sexual health, harm reduction, and healthy relationships. On average, we saw young people increase their resilience and knowledge across these categories by 24%.

Here is how it all breaks down:

Meet Courtney (she/her), our new Business Manager

With over a decade of expertise in the realms of finance, Human Resources, and operations, Courtney brings a wealth of knowledge to her role. Beyond the professional sphere, she embraces the delightful chaos of raising her tiny humans and finds joy in capturing life's moments through her passion for photography. Courtney is also proud to be born and raised in Colorado Springs.

We're so excited to have you on our team, Courtney! ๐ŸŒˆ

Meet Moe (she/her), our new Program Assistant

Moe or Morgan moved to Colorado Springs in 2014 to pursue opportunities in theatre and education. Since then, she has been an education coordinator and assistant stage manager for the Fine Arts Center for 9 years. Moe is passionate about working with young adults and helping them find their passions. While at the Fine Arts Center she helped run the Youth Rep program. Youth rep is for high school-age students who want to develop their skills in theatre.

Moe also helped develop a partnership with the School for the Deaf and Blind. One of Moeโ€™s biggest passions is creating access points for people who didnโ€™t know the opportunity existed or were not open to them previously. Moe is excited to start her journey with Inside Out Youth Services and assist the programs team in all future projects.

We're so excited to have you on our team, Moe! ๐ŸŒˆ
