Event organisers have announced that the show size has increased by 33% since 2013 with a further 10% growth expected for 2016!

Over 7000 visitors are expected to attend the trade exhibition for the sign making,digital solutions and digital printing industry when returns to NEC, Birmingham on 19-21 April.

Exhibitions for 2016

2016 hails the return of Europe's largest print exhibition - Drupa. D&K will be exhibiting in Hall 11, Stand D40. The show takes place in Düsseldorf from 31st May until 10th June.

Being launched at the show will be our new B3 fully automated laminator. Benefiting from a very compact footprint the new "baby Europa" will process sheets up to 370mm wide at speeds of up to 15m per minute. We are running a competition to name the baby! Before Drupa we will be exhibiting at FamaArt, Bologna, Italy and Sign & Digital, NEC, Birmingham.

D&K have also signed up again for The Print Show, Birmingham, UK. Staged for the second time from October 11th to 13th, 2016, The Print Show is a forward-looking annual exhibition designed to provide the key tools that everyone from the smallest high-street print shop, to the biggest conglomerate needs to remain competitive.

Rather than just another corporate orientated event, The Print Show will also work to provide a fun and entertaining celebration of the industry's culture and history-seeing a series of on-going live demonstrations of traditional print and finishing techniques from letter press, to intaglio, relief, and stone litho printing.

D&K International - the story

Founded in 1979 in Chicago, Illinois D & K Custom Machine developed the f irst automatic cutter for two-sided (encapsul ation) application. Following this in 1981 "System 27" was launched. System 27 was the first affordable single-sided, fully automated, laminator for both Printers and Print Finishers.

In 1984 D&K Intern ati onal was formed to manufacture film to offer a total package to customers.

The plant in Chicago extrudes thermal polymer resins onto nylon, polyester, OPP, PVC polycarb onate, tissue paper and other substrates to produce single-sided laminates, encapsulating films and mounting products.

Proficient with high melt, low melt and hybrid extruding (with a twin head extruder) as well as specialised versions - Aggressive, High Treat, Superstick (SC), Superstick low/low melt + UV inhibitors (KC), Indigo specific (IP), etc.
