Volunteer Shoutout: Thank You, Bill! We'd like to extend a special thank you to our NOVA Thrift Shop volunteer, Bill, for generously sharing his time and talents to help redesign the door in our Donation Area. His hard work and creativity have made a meaningful improvement to the space, and we are so grateful for his continued support of the shop and NOVA's mission.

We're Always Accepting New Volunteers! Looking for a meaningful way to give back to the community? NOVA Thrift Shop is always on the lookout for dedicated volunteers to help us make a difference! Whether you love sorting unique thrift finds, organizing displays, assisting customers, or working behind the scenes, there’s a place for you on our team. If you are interested in volunteering, you can inquire at the shop or call Maria White, Thrift Shop Manager, at 215-249-8000.

A Reminder Regarding Donations: We’re always grateful for donations and encourage donors to consider the condition of their items, especially hard goods. While we can recycle textiles, unsellable hard goods ultimately need to be disposed of, which impacts our resources. Please note that items with cracks, chips, or other damage can’t be resold. We have the right to reject items if broken, damaged, or heavily soiled.

For the safety of our team, we also kindly ask that if you're donating a heavy item, please bring someone along to help with lifting. We also ask that individual bags of clothing weigh no more than 30 pounds each.

Be sure to check out our donation guidelines to see what we can and cannot accept! Thank you for your generosity and for helping us provide quality items to our community.

Recognizing the Bucks Coalition Against Trafficking in Honor of Human Trafficking Prevention Month

Since 2010, January has been recognized as National Human Trafficking Prevention Month—a time to raise awareness, educate communities, and encourage action to help prevent the complex crime of Human Trafficking.

At NOVA, we are proud to support these efforts year-round through the Bucks Coalition Against Trafficking (BCAT), a project dedicated to combating human trafficking in our community. Founded in 2013 in response to a rise in trafficking cases in Bucks County, BCAT brings together community members, law enforcement, service providers, and advocates to create a coordinated, survivor-centered response. Their work includes educating the public, supporting survivors with essential resources, and advocating for legislation that protects those impacted.

While January highlights this issue nationally, BCAT’s work continues every day of the year. From prevention education in the community to support for survivors, BCAT's mission is clear: to eradicate human trafficking and sexual exploitation in Bucks County. And while one coalition cannot do it alone, every action, big or small, makes a difference. Volunteering your time, sharing knowledge, or simply spreading awareness helps ensure that support is visible, accessible, and effective for those who need it most.

Throughout January, BCAT will be hosting awareness events and opportunities for the community to learn, engage, and take action. We invite you to join us in supporting this vital work and strengthening our community together.

Learn more about BCAT here, and keep an eye on NOVA's social media pages (Instagram and Facebook) to learn more about January's upcoming events.

Start 2026 Right: Declutter, Donate, and Make an Impact

The start of a new year is the perfect moment to reset your space, and donating with intention can make your fresh start even more meaningful. As you sort through closets, cupboards, and storage bins, take a mindful approach to what stays and what can be passed forward. Gently used winter coats, sweaters, and boots you no longer wear can keep someone else warm this season. Household items like extra mugs, storage baskets, decor pieces, or kitchenware can brighten someone’s home without requiring the purchase of new goods. Even books, puzzles, and craft supplies can spark joy for a new owner instead of gathering dust.

Choosing to donate these items to NOVA Thrift Shop keeps them in circulation and out of landfills, supporting a more sustainable start to 2026. And most importantly, every donation directly strengthens NOVA’s services for victims of crime and our prevention education programs, helping us continue building a safer, more supported community in the year ahead.

Start the new year strong by giving back and making a lasting impact!
