Hello Kathy,
We hope you had a wonderful holiday season and the new year is off to a good start. We're looking forward to 2024 and all it will have to offer.
We are happy to welcome Allan Hancock College to our Leadership Circle. They have recently joined ExxonMobil in our Silver Level. Thank you for your continued support! If you would like to learn more about our Leadershiip Circle, we have a link you can click on below.
Although January can be a little quiet, we do have some specials and events coming up.
Farm Supply has a great sale on winter clothing, so this is the time to stock up on some great items. Check out their ad and pay them a visit in their store to see more!
Restaurant Weeks will be coming up in the end of the month and we're looking forward to seeing who will be participating this year. Stay tuned as they launch the list of restaurants and wineries participating, then make your reservations.
January is a month to clear out our minds, our closets, our cars, well just about anything. We tend to plan, get organized, and map out what we want to accomplish this new year. There are many tools out there to help you succeed, just Google it and find one that fits you. Let's make it a great 2024!
We've also shared some save the dates with you and programs being offered by our members as we kick off the new year. Make sure you put them on your calendar.
We wish you all the best for a prosperous and healthy new year!

The Buellton Chamber welcomes new members throughout the year.
What does it mean to join the chamber?
Joining a chamber of commerce provides businesses with access to resources, discounts, and relationships that enable them to save money, market their products, and streamline their processes.
We have an active membership and we look forward to having you join us.
Membership for a business is $200 annually and $75 for a non-profit or individual.
If you are interested in learning more or becoming a member, please click below.

Leadership Circle
A new membership structure
| |
We have designed 5 new levels of membership that include a variety of benefits at each level. Rather than reaching out for sponsorship every time there is an event, we have developed ways for you to participate at every level. We feel this will streamline the process, save time, and provide you with the exposure you choose.
You will receive a letter with your invoice, when your membership comes due. This will list the levels of membership you can choose from. Just let us know what level fits your business. Please feel free to reach out at any time with questions. We look forward to serving you in a more simplified way and hope you find a level that works for your business.
| |
Thank you Allan Hancock College & ExxonMobil for signing up for the
SILVER LEVEL in our Leadership Circle.

2024 New Laws for Employers | |
As it usually does, this year’s legislative session ended with hundreds of bills hitting Governor Gavin Newsom’s desk, many of which will impact employers’ compliance efforts.
This white paper offers an overview of some of the newly signed laws of which employers should be aware, including laws related to leaves of absence; the forthcoming workplace violence safety requirements; discrimination, harassment and retaliation; notice requirements; the fast food and health care minimum wages; and more.
Download CalChamber's free white paper, Your Guide to 2024 California Employment Laws, to learn more.
Unless otherwise stated, these new laws are effective starting January 1, 2024.

January
Stormwater Tip of the Month
Recycle your Christmas tree by placing it curbside or cutting it up and putting it into your green
waste bin along with your holiday wreath. Don’t forget to remove all decorations including
tinsel, lights, ornaments, tree stands, and metal frames before placing your tree on the curb or
in the green waste bin. Glass ornaments cannot be placed in the recycling bin so be sure to
donate ornaments in good condition and discard others in the trash. Visit your waste disposal
provider’s website (Waste Management or Marborg) for more information.
|
Water Conservation Tip of the Month
Turn sprinklers off and take advantage of some natural irrigation. Try and keep your irrigation controller off from one storm to the next during the rainy season. Enjoy the rain!
