Ways to Support KDT

Happy New Year

I hope you and your loved ones had a joyful holiday season! We are excited to be back at KDT and continuing with our weekly scheduled programming.

Start off your year with some fun by celebrating the The Wizard of Oz with the Kinetics Youth Ensemble! Performances will take place on Saturday, January 13th at 1pm & 6pm at Slayton House in Columbia, MD. Alex J. Krebs, KDT's Associate Artistic Director and the producer of this show, has reimagined this familiar story to be told through various dance genres. Performed by the 45 students in grades 4-12 that make up the Kinetics Youth Youth Ensemble, this production showcases the diversity, creativity, and uniqueness that make up the KDT community. Get your tickets soon, as both shows have limited availability. We hope to see you there!

With love & gratitude,

Liz Quiñones

Artistic Director

2024 Spring Showcase
SAVE THE DATE! June 2nd, 2024
Our theme for this year's showcase is called Page to Stage. This year's showcase will be based on the translation of text into dance! Our reason for having a Spring Showcase theme is to bring more awareness to the creative process. Kinetics takes pride in the fact that our year-end showcase is more than a recital. It's the display of a choreographic study with consideration of how we connect dance to the world around us. Currently registered families were sent details via email on Nov. 10th.

Wizard of Oz Tickets are Selling Fast!

If you are able, please consider donating to this production. Putting together a dance concert is costly - particularly a show like this one! Character-specific costumes, a higher capacity theater and technology like projections & lighting will add so much to our production. We can't do it alone!

KDT strives to bring accessible dance classes and performances to the community. Your support impacts the KYE and KDT as a whole. We hope that this platform can provide transparency regarding KYE and KDT programming costs. We do our best to work with our resources with the support of hardworking faculty and generous volunteers, but each year it is important to refresh and add to our current inventory to compliment our growing community. Thank you for considering making a donation to this production.
