The Library is back on 1st Street!
We'll reopen on Monday, January 25 at our regular building at 101 1st St SE.
If that date sounds familiar to you, it's for good reason! The library roof collapsed on Saturday, January 25, 2020, at 10:14 p.m. What better way to mark the one year anniversary then reopening!
I cannot thank our staff and volunteers enough - they are the reason we're able to reopen so quickly! (I know a month doesn't seem quick, but trust me, the 25th was a very lofty goal - and you'll notice we're not quite done)

We're so excited to be back at our library with all of our books in one place!

We're open for express service. What does that mean?
- You can come in the building without an appointment to browse the shelves and check out materials
- We ask that you make your visits brief
- Masks are required in the building.
- If you cannot wear a mask, please call us to arrange accommodation.
- Computer Appointments are required for the computer lab.
- We will have reserve pickup in the entryway and offer curbside delivery.
We want to be open for people to come in, but if the need arises we will go back to curbside only service.

Thanks to your generosity we raised $13,578.44 for books, programming, resources, and more at the library!
That surpassed our goal of $12,500 - the amount of our matching grant from Hallett Charitable Trust.

Call the library to make an appointment for Tax Help.
Please note that Tax Help will work a little differently this year!
You'll be signed up for two appointments.
- The first is to drop off your documents and have them scanned
- The second is to sign and authorize the return.
- Your second appointment is exactly a week after your first and at the same time
You must pick up a packet to fill out and bring to your first appointment.
- Packets can be picked up at the library once we open on the 25th

Abby was a bit too optimistic scheduling book club during the middle of moving the library, so the December selection, American Dirt by Jeanine Cummins, is now the January selection!
