We're Back!
The Library is back on 1st Street!

We'll reopen on Monday, January 25 at our regular building at 101 1st St SE.

If that date sounds familiar to you, it's for good reason! The library roof collapsed on Saturday, January 25, 2020, at 10:14 p.m. What better way to mark the one year anniversary then reopening!

I cannot thank our staff and volunteers enough - they are the reason we're able to reopen so quickly! (I know a month doesn't seem quick, but trust me, the 25th was a very lofty goal - and you'll notice we're not quite done)

Our staff: Sandy Arcand, Sharon Beaman, Christie Elliott, Marie McNamara, and Deb Weide

Volunteers: Maureen Alaboud, Dennis Carothers, Bella Henline, Doris Hintz, Cary Klingner, Martha Lusian, Jill Mertes, Jan Nordell, Virgil Panitzke, Marian Segersten, Janet Smith, Jenny Smith, and Barb Ukura.

A special thank you to Wally Schroeder and Pat Smith. They have been our dedicated handymen - securing shelves, hanging curtains, pictures, and everything else from the neverending whiteboard list.

We're so excited to be back at our library with all of our books in one place!

Thank you for your support and patience as we've worked to reopen! We're nothing without our patrons, and I hope you'll visit us soon!

Abby

P.S. If you haven't already, check out the photos from the move over on Facebook!

Abby was a bit too optimistic scheduling book club during the middle of moving the library, so the December selection, American Dirt by Jeanine Cummins, is now the January selection!

And January's selection is now February's! The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab
