New Snack Program at Santa Barabara | |

Thanks to a generous grant from the Collier Community Foundation, we are thrilled to introduce a new snack program at our Santa Barbara location. This program allows us to provide healthy, nutritious snacks to our children, ensuring that they have the energy and focus needed for a day of learning and growth.
Healthy snacks are vital in supporting children’s physical and cognitive development, helping them stay engaged in classroom activities. We are grateful for this opportunity to promote healthy habits and create a foundation for lifelong wellness.

Our month-long theme was "Moving Things."
We had an exciting journey into the world of movement through fascinating discoveries about how animals get around. From the graceful soaring of eagles to the silent slither of snakes, we explored how different body parts let animals master their own unique ways of getting from place to place.
But that was just the beginning of our adventure. We also uncovered the amazing secrets of wheels and axles, investigating everything from tiny toy cars to massive trucks, counting wheels and discovering how they make our lives easier every day.
Here's where things get really interesting: we became junior scientists! We played with forces that you can't see but can definitely feel, like gravity and friction. Through fun experiments, we discovered why heavy things move differently from light things and why some objects float while others sink.
Finally, we zoomed into the thrilling world of vehicles. From speedboats cutting through waves to helicopters whirring through clouds, we explored how different vehicles conquer land, sea and sky. We even learned about the heroes of transportation. . . those flashing lights and sirens on emergency vehicles that keep our communities safe.

This free bilingual application provides users with information about critical resources and services available in Collier County. NCEF is dedicated to partnering with community leaders, stakeholders and service providers across the county to ensure that every family has access to the help they need in times of need.
