January 2021
Parents of the Class of 2025,

We are so happy your daughter was one of the 235 amazing young women who took the next step to becoming a Valkyrie by taking the High School Placement Test with us. This is a special group of young women, who have adapted, endured and thrived, despite all 2020 and now 2021 has dealt them.

We know their 7th and 8th grade experiences have not been what you or they expected. We are here for them and already consider each a member of our Valkyrie sisterhood. We are going to do all we can to help them fully join our community, feel a part of the heart and continue to grow their connection to SHA, our students, faculty, coaches and administration.

We are busy planning events, both virtual and in person, reimagining our spring registration and orientation process and brainstorming ideas to make their new beginning at SHA a memorable, wonderful experience.

We’ve got this. We’ll take care of your girls.

We will be in touch often as events and resources are fine-tuned. For now, please look below for a few ways for you and your daughters to connect with us in the coming weeks.

Welcome to the family.

What’s on the horizon? How can we stay connected?

  • Have your daughter check out our SHA Class of 2025 Instagram page, @sha_classof2025. This is a private page, just for the Class of 2025.

  • Join interim principal and dean of studies, Ms. Amy Nall,on February 8th at 6:30pm for a virtual workshop entitled, “Understanding your daughter's HSPT scores and Class Placement at SHA". Details below.

  • Watch the mail for your daughter’s SHA Acceptance Packet, mailing February 9th with all important documents and details for you and a warm welcome for your daughter.

  • A monthly newsletter from the SHA Enrollment Office with important information and dates for upcoming events and opportunities for your daughter

  • Beginning in February, we will be hosting small groups of 8th grade testers on campus, in-person. This will not be required, but is being offered to help your daughter connect both with incoming and current students and give her the opportunity to tour again and begin to feel more comfortable with her transition to high school. Virtual opportunities will also be available. Watch your email for dates and sign ups.

  • Save the date, Freshman Registration will be held March 10, 2021. At this time, we plan to hold this event in-person, but will also have a virtual option available.
