We hope you all enjoyed a safe and wonderful Christmas!

We would like to THANK YOU all for the wonderful cards, notes, letters, and gifts at Christmas, you did not have to - that little extra thank you means so much to us!

Practice at the Rec Center

March 3rd-7th (Picture Week), pictures will first be taken at Fusion Dance, and then you will head to the Rec Center for practice on the stage in your costume. The schedule for picture times will be posted in the February Newsletter. Please note, these may not be scheduled at your regularly scheduled time, or even on your regularly scheduled day of the week. Competition groups will take pictures only. We will run those dances in Ballet Technique classes this week.

Ballet Technique Schedule for March 3rd-7th:

Ballet 1: Thursday, March 7th from 4:00-4:45pm at the Studio

Ballet 2: Thursday, March 7th from 4:45-5:45pm at the Studio

Ballet 3: Thursday, March 7th from 5:45-6:45pm at the Studio

Ballet 4: Thursday, March 7th from 6:45-8:15pm at the Studio

April 21st-25th at your regular practice times. This does NOT include competition groups! Recreational classes only. NO COSTUMES! We will run competition dances in Ballet Technique classes again this week.

Ballet Technique Schedule for April 21st-25th:

Ballet 1: Thursday, April 25th from 4:45-5:30pm at the Rec Center

Ballet 2: Thursday, April 25th from 5:30-6:30pm at the Rec Center

Ballet 3: Thursday, April 25th from 8-9pm at the Rec Center

Ballet 4: Wednesday, April 24th from 8-9:30pm at the Rec Center

Dress Rehearsal

Recital A: Sunday, April 28th – 12pm

Recital B: Sunday, April 28th – 4pm

Recital

Recital A:

Wednesday, May 1st – 7pm

Saturday, May 4th – 5pm

Sunday, May 5th – 1pm

Recital B:

Friday, May 3rd - 7pm

Saturday, May 4th - 1pm

Sunday, May 5th - 5pm

If you know you have a MAJOR conflict with either Recital A or B, please let the front desk know by JANUARY 22nd. We will announce Recital A and B in our February Newsletter.

Costumes

You can find your dancer’s costume in the costume book located at the front desk!

The costume book will also be posted to the Band App. Click HERE to join the Fusion Dance Band App.

After January 22nd, your remaining costume balance will be charged to your account and can be seen on your Parent Portal at that time. This remaining balance will be initiated on February 1st.

Recital Music

A $5.00 per dancer, music fee was posted to everyone's accounts today, January 1st and will be withdrawn on January 10th with tuition. This fee covers costs such as purchasing the music, editing, and uploading all music to your Parent Portals.

All recital music will be uploaded to the parent portals by February for dancers to practice with at home.

Easter

Easter Sunday, March 31st, there is NO DANCE.

Please note!

We will NOT be following the school schedule. WE DO HAVE DANCE on Monday, April 1st.

Weather Cancellations

If classes are ever cancelled you will receive a text message, or you can check Facebook for updates as well. Please be advised that when we do our scheduling for the year, we allow one snow day per class. If your class misses more than one day due to weather, we will make-up those missed classes during the months of March and April when the weather is usually a little more cooperative. So please be on the lookout for emails and texts from Fusion Dance regarding cancellations and make-up classes. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us during office hours, Monday-Thursday, 4:00-8:00pm, 712-792-4933.

Parent Meeting

Our Parent Meeting via ZOOM will be on Thursday, February 22nd from 7:30-8:15pm.

At this meeting we will discuss recital details, pictures, costumes, etc.

We will share the meeting link closer to the meeting date.

We will begin posting recital routines to the Band App starting in February/March for dancers to practice with at home. Click HERE to join the Fusion Dance Band App.

Extra Reminders

Do not send any mail to the address of 1111 Plaza Dr (studio location), send it to P.O. Box 1252, Carroll, IA 51401 (there is no mailbox at the studio).

"My tap shoes are too tight!"

"I can't wear them anymore!"

"My ballet shoes are too small!"

We are hearing these comments from a lot of kids because they were going to wear their shoes

till Christmas and now it is January and we need new ones. Please check your children's shoes; we can get them for you.

Please be sure your dancer is coming to dance class dressed and looking like a dancer with proper attire and shoes. For girls please bring your own hair ties to keep your hair back.

April 4th - 7th: Bravo Dance Competition (Competition Students Only)

April 21st: Finale Practice

April 21st - 25th: Rehearsal on the Rec Center Stage

April 28th-May 5th: Recital Week (Dress Rehearsals & Recital Performances)
