What Grows Where?
The Biota of North America Program (BONAP) provides in-depth information on the entire vascular flora of the continent north of Mexico. Their Taxonomic Data Center features scores of unique search & sort capabilities plus a database page that incorporates Google Maps technology. The North American Plant Atlas shows state/county level distribution maps of all vascular plant taxa and includes data on soil types, climate and temperature zones. The
density gradient maps alone are fascinating. You may even be able to assist with the effort! Check it out
