January 2018 Edition
Happy New Year!

December was a wonderful month for all of us at  Homes for the Brave, Female Soldiers: Forgotten Heroes, and  Waldorf House as we were amazed at the generosity of organizations, businesses, families, and individuals for the deluge of beautiful and useful gifts that were given to our men and women.

We are now looking ahead to 2018 and are so excited about our second annual Comedy Night on  January 19th. This event will feature a lineup of ALL Veteran comics so it is indeed "for Veterans by Veterans." Tickets and sponsorship packages at all levels are available so please be a part of this exciting event as the proceeds will enable us to better serve the men and women that have served our country. Complete details can be found later on in  this edition of  The Perimeter.

Here's wishing all of you and yours a safe, healthy, and happy 2018!

Program Highlights

'Twas the season of progress for our Veterans as some secured permanent housing and bid a fond farewell while others moved in, ready to create their plan and begin their journey.

DID YOU KNOW?
On a single night in January 2017,
40,056 veterans were experiencing homelessness.

Please continue to support our transitional housing programs that afford homeless Veterans the opportunity to return to a productive and meaningful life.

Partnership Highlights

Where do we begin in sharing the outpouring of support this holiday season?

Our dear friend Christel Truglia & Friends hosted a very special holiday meal for our residents, custom-prepared by the Connecticut State Capitol chefs. Current and former residents enjoyed a meal and conversation, sharing stories, and inspiring one another for success. Through the generosity of so many companies, groups, and individuals, each resident received a holiday gift bag filled with daily essentials.

To each of you reading this, thank you.
It is your care and concern for Veterans that keeps our
programs running, providing vital resources which assist Veterans in resetting their lives and reintegrating as
contributing members of our society.
Gifts and Support
What a wonderful holiday season it has been, with visitors, donations of goods, financial support, and letters from children and adults sending holiday wishes for health and happiness.
Residents felt the love from our community of supporters and send their thanks to each of you for remembering them this holiday season. Here are some of the photos we captured! (Please like our Facebook page where you can see even more!)
