A Word From Our Director

Happy New Year – May 2024 bring blessings, laughter and joy!

We have much to look forward to this year and we hope you’ll join us!

Adapted Bike Camp will be taking place in March this year; from the 18th-22nd at Downey High School. Registration opens at the end of January. Our Annual Jeans and Jewels Gala fundraiser is scheduled for Saturday, April 27th, and Community Brunch is on September 8th at the Centre Plaza. Mark your calendars and keep an eye on our monthly newsletter for information along the way!

Wondering how to make a difference in your community this year? Start the year off by committing to a monthly gift to the Society for disABILITIES and partnering with us to enhance lives. Your monthly donation will go a long way in helping us bring smiles, training, and independence to those who need it most!

Did you know that just $10 a month will sponsor two clients for an adapted sport activity? And $20 a month will purchase a wheelchair? Larger gifts like $150 per month help purchase larger items like hospital beds and hoyer lifts. All these items make life easier for people with disabilities, their caregivers, and their families. And, gifts of any size are appreciated and put to good use.

Giving monthly allows you to make a bigger impact over time. Giving monthly allows us to plan for purchases to benefit our clients. Giving monthly is easy when you set up your donation at our website www.societyfordisabilities.org. Remember the old commercial “set it and forget it?” When you do that with a monthly donation, everyone benefits!

We appreciate you and your gifts of time, talent, and treasure – you help us make a difference!

Cheers to a bright new year…

In Service,

Cathy
