CrossFit Athlete of the Month:
Joey Villarreal
How old are you and when did you join Alamo 180?  
56, I joined in April of 2016! I’ve logged almost 500 CrossFit workouts!

Why do you do CrossFit?
I like to stay active and I like the whole body style fitness program

Favorite workout? Least favorite workout?  
I don't love any of the workouts but I like and appreciate all of them.

What advice would you give someone starting out in CrossFit? Keep at it and just do your best no matter what. It doesn’t matter when you start, just start!

Triathlete of the Month:
Daniel Espinoza
How old are you and when did you join Alamo 180?  
I am 34 yrs old. I joined Alamo180 in April 2017 when I started the rookie to race program. It is one of the best decisions I ever made.
 
Why do you do triathlon?
I do triathlons because they are challenging. I love that I get to test limits that I never knew my body had. 

Favorite discipline? Least favorite?
Biking is my favorite discipline. It is my favorite because its the longest part of the race. Running is my least favorite. It is my least favorite because its the ending part of every race

What advice would you give to someone just starting out in triathlon?
When you first start everything will be hard. You will feel more tired than you ever had. Don't quit and just keep trying!

CrossFit Fundamentals
CrossFit Fundamentals is a class designed to help you learn and master the fundamental movements of CrossFit. Learn the basic movement patterns along with ways to scale up (make harder) or scale down (make easier).

If you're considering making CrossFit part of your exercise regimen, we recommend you show up!

Class is FREE and offered every Saturday at 8am. You don't even need to be a member at our gym to participate.

21 Day Fit
Real results in just 21 days! Really! In the 21 Day Fit program, you'll be encouraged to step outside your comfort zone to achieve things you didn't think possible!

Learn an easy, no gimmicky way to nourish your body to lose weight (and keep it off) and gain energy. Learn how effective, fun, and doable CrossFit is! Learn how cardio doesn't have to be hard in order to be effective. 30 minute walks produce benefits!

Learn how to use technology (i.e. Garmin watch, heart rate monitor, power meter ) to your advantage so you can maximize your fitness gains! If you're ready to go beyond Rate of Perceived Exertion and dive deeper into data, then you'll want to take a few minutes to listen!

Triathlon Team
Triathlon team is open for enrollment now through January 12.

Ironman 70.3 Texas and Ironman Texas programs start first week in January. All other team races start in the spring. But get on a training plan now so you can get build fitness and get a head start on triathlon training before the 2020 racing season picks up! Community Bootcamps

It is our heart to offer the highest quality training experience while keeping our CrossFit class and membership rates fair and affordable. In addition to our payment based drop-in classes and memberships, we now offer 2 free community bootcamp classes every week to make functional training truly accessible to all.
